The Tigers are 120 years old and are celebrating in style
Hull City are celebrating their 120th birthday this week and against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon, the birthday boys will be wearing a bespoke edition of their kit on a day full of celebration at the MKM Stadium.
Designed in conjunction with kit partner Kappa Turkiye, the Tigers will wear the all-black strip for the game against the Bluebirds before the shirts are sold off.
Former players Curtis Davies, Ken Wagstaff, Brian Marwood, Garreth Roberts, David Meyler and Justin Whittle, along with current first team coach Andy Dawson and club captain Lewie Coyle visited the Guildhall for a photoshoot earlier this month, to show off the new strip.
Fans can get their hands on the Tigers' birthday suit from 9am on Friday morning but they'll need to be quick, with only 1,904 available and no more set to be produced, while the Kappa jackets are also going on sale priced at £64.99, but like with the kit, only a limited number have been made.
City have a host of things planned to celebrate the iconic landmark and have invited a host of guests to Saturday's game, including legendary figures from the club's illustrious past with the likes of Ken Wagstaff, Peter Taylor and Nick Barmby among those attending.
The club are also creating a pop-up museum at Hull's central library which will open next month, housing a host of memorabilia including vintage shirts, boots and trophies.
Hull Live have spoken to a host of key figures throughout the club's history including Nick Barmby, Peter Taylor and owner Acun Ilicali for a special edition of the 1904 Club podcast, which is out now and can be downloaded here...
