If you're looking to save on your TV, Netflix and streaming bill then Sky's free trial deal is for you, as the provider launches particular channels for free. It's been at the top of our TV must-catch deals and now there are only hours left to grab the provider's free-trial deal.
Earlier this month Sky wowed viewers by dropping the price of its Sky Stream, TV, and Netflix package to £0 for the first month, and it's about to run out. There are only hours left to bag the mega deal, before it runs out tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25 at 11:59 pm.
Those who are quick enough will get Sky Stream, TV and Netflix for £0, and once the free trial is up will lock into the usual £31 monthly rate. Although, as it's a rolling contract there's no price to stay, meaning viewers can leave once the freebie is over...a rare perk for the provider.
Sky is usually known for its long 24-month streaming contracts, but this deal is an exception. After each 31 days, you'll get the option of leaving fee-free.
With the deal viewers will get a Standard with Ads Netflix plan, hundreds of TV channels and its nifty box-top streaming box, and if you don't like it (or it's not worth your pennies) you can simply leave after the period. It means from now until the end of October all of the cosy Halloween-season films, series and documentaries are completely free.
The main event is Sky's nifty stream box, this runs on Wi-Fi so you don't need to pay any pricey installation fees or have a clunky satellite dish fixed to your home. Next, it has a universal HDMI port, so it is compatible with most TVs - it can turn the most basic device into a swanky smart-like screen.
Next up is the access to hundreds of TV channels, Sky Originals, and Exclusives are included as well as more than 50 channels that can't be found on Freeview. Plus, Netflix is part of the deal if you don't mind sitting through a few adverts, if you do there is also the option of upgrading the Netflix plan, but you'll get charged an extra fee for this.
Of course, it's isn't the only money-saving option for TV shoppers. If you're looking for something cheaper then Disney+ is one of many other TV sites offering a hard-to-beat deal this month. The site known for its Shōgun at The Bear (both of which picked up an award at the recent 2024 Emmy's) has dropped its basic plan to £1.99 instead of the usual £4.99 price.
Sky is a lot more expensive per month than Disney+ (as it has hundreds of TV channels and streaming box too) so it may be an alternative for many. Also on the TV must-catch list is the other Sky stream deal.
Bundling in sports channels the Sky Stream, Sky TV, Netflix and Sky Sports plan is reduced to only £20 per month, instead of the usual £48 per month price. Then after 30-days this will return to its just shy of £50 rate.
