Office workers are feeling overwhelmed, confessing that their lives are dominated by their tech devices rather than the other way around.
A survey of 2,000 adults who work in an office revealed that they depend on three gadgets to get through the day, including a laptop, tablet, and at least one mobile phone.
While 31 per cent agree that their electronics have improved their lives and 30 per cent would be 'lost' without them, 18 per cent fear that technology has effectively taken over their everyday life.
A spokesperson for HONOR, which commissioned the research to mark the launch of its all-in-one foldable Magic V3 phone, said: "Tech should enrich our lives - not take over it. Having to carry around multiple devices and receiving notifications from each one seemingly every few minutes, it's no wonder so many feel overwhelmed. It certainly doesn't need to be that way."
The study also found that 10 per cent have 'too many' devices, with 39 per cent admitting they'd like to carry fewer tech devices and accessories to and from work, such as phones, laptops, chargers, headphones and more.
Hybrid workers, who split their time between home and the office, are lugging around more gadgets than ever. A recent survey revealed a striking 71 percent of those in the hybrid category say they're hauling extra tech owing to the nature of their work setup.
In response to the increasing number of must-carry devices, over half (51 per cent) are open to paying more for an all-in-one device that could stand in for several others.
In addition, the poll indicated the younger crowd, aged 18 to 24, feel swamped by ceaseless notifications. Consequently, 18 per cent are eager to regain control and become less reliant on their devices.
Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson for HONOR remarked: "The research found many consumers are overwhelmed by the amount of tech in their lives however tech could be the solution to this problem."
