We're blessed to be so close to a beautiful stretch of coastline with miles of sandy beaches.
Yorkshire boasts some idyllic seaside towns and beauty spots – from remote Spurn Point in the south, to the hustle-and-bustle of Hornsea, and all the way up to the historic Whitby bay.
But how good do you think your seaside knowledge truly is? It's time to put it to the test. All you have to do is see if you can name each location based on one photograph – but it's not as easy as it sounds!

Recently, Which? ranked the best and worst seaside resorts, with some interesting results. Unsurprisingly, Filey was ranked very highly, with a 79 per cent consumer rating, for its value for money and "peace and quiet".
On the flip side, Bridlington was in the bottom quarter of rankings at 62 per cent. But with wonderful chalets for hire and plenty of seaside events, we'd have to say the scoring was a little harsh.
