Christmas is over and as ever the New Year is fast approaching with only a few days left before you have to get into party mode again to celebrate the end of 2021.
For many of us that will mean dusting off those dancing shoes and heading to the pubs and bars of Hull and East Yorkshire, while many more will be celebrating at home.

But for some, the idea of more celebrating or seeing out 2021 with a glass of fizz isn't appealing and this year might be a time to take a break and get away from it all.
If you're feeling like the last thing you want to do is be in the crowds raising a glass this New Year's Eve, there are still plenty of options for a quick break right on our doorstep.

Old Granary, Leven
Starting with a lovely historic building outside the village of Leven which is described as a perfect retreat for creatives and a peaceful spot.
The Old Granary is two miles outside the village and dates from the 1800's, the converted space plays host to accommodation with shared facilities.
The property even comes with a couple of resident cats and dog and costs £40 a night for you and one other guest this New Year.

It could be yours for you and your guests for just £90 a night.

Want to get away but not too far away? Why not head to Beverley for a short break?
The market town is a short drive from Hull but has all the charm of a rural location, this cottage is right in the heart of things.
The town has plenty to offer with bars, pubs, shops and restaurants while the Westwood is easily accessible and there are plenty of other attractions nearby.
