See inside East Yorkshire's luxury holiday cottages that offer the warmest welcome in the county
The cottages were created from a derelict farmstead
Pasture House Holiday Cottages, in Brandesburton, near Driffield, have earned VisitEngland’s coveted Rose Award for 2024.
The luxury self-catering accommodation was created from a derelict farmstead and the brainchild of Sarah Dean and her family. Their ancestry goes back five generations on the same farmland.
These luxury home-from-homes have been created with love and care by Sarah, who bakes for all her guests and, depending on what is in season in and around the farm next door, there will be fruit such as brambles included in the welcome hampers of all-Yorkshire goodies, fresh farm eggs and locally-grown flowers filling vases. It is all part of the warm welcome that has earned Pasture House Holiday Cottages its Rose Award, an accolade that acknowledges the warmest of welcomes offered by members of the hospitality industry.
The holiday cottages were the only recipient in East Yorkshire, one of 13 in the whole of Yorkshire and one of the overall 100 honoured by VisitEngland.
