The inaugural charity dog show, Pups in the Park, is scheduled to take place this Sunday at the picturesque Tower Hill Park in Hessle. Promising a day packed with entertainment for the whole family, including your furry companions, this event is not to be missed.
Pups in the Park will offer an array of activities aimed at delighting both pooches and their owners. The line-up includes a dog show featuring various categories, agility courses to test canine dexterity, and captivating demonstrations.
Whether you're keen to flaunt your dog's abilities or just want to soak up the atmosphere among fellow dog lovers, there's plenty on offer.
Event highlights include:
- Dog Show Competitions: Dog owners can enter their beloved pets into a range of competitions such as "Best in Show," "Waggiest Tail," "Best Rescue," among others.
- Agility Courses: Spectators can witness talented dogs as they weave through intricate courses, demonstrating their speed and training prowess.
- Pet-Friendly Stalls and Food Vendors: A selection of stalls catering to pet needs will be present, alongside scrumptious fare from local food vendors, ensuring treats for all attendees, whether on two legs or four.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, a local mental health charity, is organising the event with all proceeds going towards funding mental health services in the area. The event, Pups in the Park, is not only a fun day out but also an opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile cause. It's sponsored by Noah's Ark Dog School and supported by Hessle Town Council.
Marie-Louise Robinson, Community Fundraiser at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, said: "It's well known that having a dog, getting out and meeting people, and being in the fresh air all have a positive impact on our mental health. So, we decided to host our first fun dog show, to bring people and their pooches together for a great day out.
