Updated dates for overnight road closures have been announced as part of the schedule for the construction of the new roundabout in Brough.
These night-time closures, which will take place between August and October, are necessary for the completion of the £4.7m A63 /Welton Road Brough Junction Scheme, aimed at alleviating congestion at a key junction in the town.
The scheme involves replacing the busy junction at Welton Road, Welton Low Road, Water Lane and the A63 with a large, three-lane roundabout equipped with traffic signals. The roundabout expected to be fully operational in November.

Road closure one
The first set of overnight closures will affect Welton Road in the vicinity of the works over two nights on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 August (from 7pm to 6am), to allow the contractor to connect both the Welton Road arms of the new roundabout.
A diversion will be in operation via Welton Low Road - Elloughton - Brough. Additionally, a local diversion will be in operation for Stanley Jackson Way traffic via Broadley Way and Common Lane.
Road closure two
The second set of overnight closures will occur at the western end of Stanley Jackson Way from 7pm to 6am each night from Friday 30 August to Friday 13 September, to facilitate the construction of the tie in with the realigned Water Lane.
A diversion will be in place via Broadley Way and Common Lane.
Stanley Jackson Way is set to reopen during the day, with work crews also scheduled to operate night shifts from 27 August to 26 September.
Road closure three
An overnight closure of the A63 westbound slip roads is planned from Monday 16 September to Wednesday 25 September (7pm to 6am), with a diversion in operation via A63 westbound to South Cave then returning to Brough via Elloughton, including a local diversion route via Broadley Way and Common Lane.
Road closure four
Another overnight closure is planned for the Welton Road / Welton Low Road junction, meaning the A63 eastbound slip roads will be closed to and from Brough from Friday 4 October to Wednesday 9 October (7pm to 6am). A diversion route will be in operation via A63 Eastbound to Melton Interchange then returning A63 Westbound to return to Brough.
For traffic travelling between Brough and Welton/A63 east, a diversion route will be in place via Brough to South Cave Interchange to A63 eastbound.
Councillor Gary McMaster, the council's portfolio holder for housing and infrastructure at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "Work on this roundabout is entering the final few months but there is still plenty to be done before we can open it. Thanks to residents and drivers for their patience during these night time closures as they are essential to the scheme.
"We've purposefully made sure to avoid any day-time road closures so they cause as little disruption as possible."
