Pensioners in Hull have had their say on the removal of the winter fuel allowance payment for most, and they're not happy.
The LDRS spoke to pensioners in Hull city centre to gauge how people have reacted to the news that MPs voted to scrap the winter fuel allowance given to those over the age of 65 for the majority by means-testing it.
Most were outraged by the news, one example being 75-year-old Keith Duckles who described the policy as "a diabolical kick in the teeth" and said that "a lot of pensioners are going to die."
Mr Duckles also said: "I never thought I'd see the day the Labour Party hit the most vulnerable, that's usually the Tories' trick."
Keith's notion was shard by 79-year-old Clive Fanthorpe who said: "You expect a Labour government to take care of pensioners."
Clive added: "We'll be ok, but there are many who might not be."
The Government have pointed to a £22bn 'blackhole' in the country's finances to justify the action taken, although many people in Hull think the Government should have looked elsewhere to raise money. Amongst these was Nina Fitzgerald.

The 65-year-old said: "It's disgusting, I'm sure they could have found other ways."
The allowance will now be means tested and will only be available to those on Pension Credit.
Nina's husband Stephen, 66, added: "We don't fall into the other category [receiving Pension Credit], so we just won't get it."
82-year-old Arthur Drayton vowed to never vote for the Labour Party again and hopes that pensioners do not get targeted again in the future.
He said: "They've already taken our free TV Licences, now this!"
Some people the LDRS spoke to were more accepting to the policy. For example, Stephen Hardy, 73, said: "The payment shouldn't be universal".
