Hull Fair 2024 begins to take shape as rides arrive at Walton Street
Fair-goers don't have long to wait now!
With just over a week to go, rides have started to appear at Walton Street for Hull Fair 2024.
The fair will begin on Friday, October 4 and run until Saturday, October 12. The middle Sunday, October 6, will remain closed in keeping with tradition.
Known for being one of the largest travelling fairs in Europe, Hull Fair sees over 250 rides with something for the whole family to enjoy. And with the event on the horizon, preparations are well and truly underway.
Photos taken today by Hull Live's Donna Clifford show the iconic Big Wheel standing tall, as well as rollercoaster tracks being built and a carousel or two.
Brought to the city by the Showman's Guild, and in collaboration with Hull City Council, fair-goers can expect state-of-the art rides for thrill-seekers, child friendly rides and a whole host of food vendors.
The fair will be open from 5pm on Friday, October 4, with a short parade involving the Lord Mayor. You can find out more about this year's Hull Fair here.
