A savvy Vinted seller has revealed her secrets to making extra cash by offloading items such as old clothes, shoes, books, homeware, and video games on the platform.
Brogan Sutcliffe, known on TikTok as @brogansutcliffeee, shared that she earned £250 in a single week through the online marketplace Vinted, with her advice garnering over 127k views, nearly 5,000 likes, and upwards of 600 comments from intrigued followers, reports the Daily Record.
Her video, titled "Vinted tips for new sellers", also features text over the top stating: "How I sold £250 this week on Vinted." In the clip, Brogan explains: "I sold over £250 of clothes on Vinted this week, so here's a few tips in case you want to get started - and here's my username in case you want to have a look (brogansuttyyy)."
For those looking to maximise their earnings on Vinted, we've summarised Brogan's advice below:
Embrace bundle discounts
Brogan advises: "100% turn your bundle discounts on - this just means that the more that somebody buys the better discount they get. I think mine are set to two is 15%, three is 20% off and five is 25% off. I probably get around 60-70% of my sales purely from bundle sales."
Consider raising your prices slightly
The savvy seller said: "Because you're probably going to sell a lot of your items on bundles or at least at a discounted rate, make sure you price them up just a little bit more than you're willing to accept so that if people do send you offers, you accept them. Everyone wins, they get a bargain and you get it for the price that you wanted to actually sell it for."
Showcase clothes properly
She said: "I always find that if you are selling clothes, that if you actually wear the clothes (if you possibly can) that they always seem to sell better. Just so people can see what they look like on a person."
Write descriptions carefully
The fashion fan said: "When you're writing descriptions make sure you write what you're going to search for. People are going to find your items by searching for that product a lot of the time so if you've got an Oh Polly dress, size 10, make sure that is in the title."
She added: "If you have something you're going to sell and you don't quite know how to write it on the description, just search it and then get the best description from that and almost just copy and paste it into yours."
Don't delay sending parcels
She said: "Lastly, post every single thing. I know that's the worst thing about selling on Vinted, its so annoying taking a parcel to the post office but as soon as you get that bad review on your page so many people aren't gonna buy from you purely because they won't think you'll send the item."
