When it opened in 1995, the Exchange Bar Diner on St Andrew's Quay was the place to go for a burger and a milkshake, bringing the best of American cuisine direct to Hull.
Today, the retail and leisure park is best known for furniture stores, a giant B&Q and a busy McDonald's drive-thru. But back in the 1990s, it was a hugely popular spot for hanging out with friends.
Along with the UCI cinema, Megabowl bowling alley, Jazzbo Browns, and the short-lived Deep Pan Pizza Co restaurant, the Exchange Bar Diner took pride of place at St Andrew's Quay, offering the people of Hull a smorgasbord of entertainment that lasted until the mid-noughties.

Sadly, as a consequence of building on the old St Andrew's Dock, parts of the retail park began to sink. A decision was taken to start over again, and many of the buildings were bulldozed in 2004, leaving only good memories of what had come before - including plenty at the Exchange Bar Diner.
