Hull’s summer of culture is about to hit top gear, and those flocking to the feast of fun are being urged to go by bus.

Visitors heading for the major events and attractions are being invited to make public transport a priority, reflecting the city’s green credentials.

With tens of thousands of people expected to soak up the summer’s sensational offerings, the campaign encourages cross-city travel while embracing the neighbouring towns that look to Hull for entertainment highlights.

The benefits of £2 single fares across many routes include the ability to relax and not worry about parking, while avoiding any impact of ongoing city enhancement works.

Go By Bus is a part of Hull City Council’s response to the climate emergency, working in partnership with Visit Hull and East Yorkshire and local service operators, Stagecoach East Midlands and East Yorkshire Buses.

The ambition is to reduce car travel and encourage more sustainable travel choices in anticipation of the rollout of electric buses in the city.
