Something for families
As it's the summer holidays, let's kick this guide off with something for the families. While some walks can see challenges, climbing and even long travel times - fear not, because we've got the ideal walk for little legs.
The walk from Molescroft to Cherry Burton is the best walk for families this half term. It's nearly impossible to get lost, offers flat terrain and you can hop off at any time if your children decide they've had enough.
Simply start at Pighill Lane car park in Molescroft, just outside Beverley town centre and follow footpath and cross Lockwood Road. You'll join the start of an old railway line and just a short four miles you'll be graced with the beauty that Cherry Burton has to offer.

The best-kept secret on the East Yorkshire coast
Beautiful beaches of golden sands - how lucky are we to live so close to the glorious East Yorkshire coast? The tranquillity of the sea air always has a way of leaving you calm.
But there's a little beach that can offer you some calm this Bank Holiday, and most surprisingly of all - you've probably never even heard of it.
Wilsthorpe beach is one of East Yorkshire less well-known spots, but with acres of sand and shallow seas, it's ideal for families. People often claim to have the entire beach all to themselves, so if you're looking for some piece and quiet, this is definitely the place to visit.

Celeb spotting in the country
You might not expect a walk in the country to give you the opportunity to do a bit of celeb spotting, but that's exactly what you can do! Patrington often doesn't get a look in for walkers, with many simply passing through to head to the coastline.
But with the endless fields and the chance to spot Gogglebox stars Jenny and Lee, this is not a walk to be missed out on.
You'll also see historical buildings such as the medieval Gothic St Patrick’s Church, also known as the ‘Queen of Holderness’. You can then head into the Main Street in Patrington Haven where the Gogglebox duo reside.

Take a trip to the end of the world
The ever-changing landscape of Spurn Point means it offers a different kind of magic each time you visit.
From seeing the sights of Cleethorpes in the distance, to walking through the nature trail, this scenic walk will leave you feeling re-connected with nature. Don't forget to spot the lighthouse on your walk.
It's also the perfect place to do some bird spotting - but remember to check the tide times before you take a visit.
