To a generation of Hull clubbers, it was the place to be and be seen. When it opened in March 2002, Pozition promised to "transform" the city's night scene.
The "sophisticated" £2m venue, which took over the old Queens Hotel, included cafe-bars, a restaurant, rooftop seating and a VIP area (Jedward and TOWIE stars were among the guests). The club had a staff of 60 and room for 1,300 people – and judging by the queues some nights, it attracted almost as many.
Now, six years after the venue closed for the final time on New Year's Eve 2017, we've found fantastic footage of a big night out there back in April 2008. It shows clubbers dancing the night away and posing for our reporter.

The two-minute video was filmed for Hull Vibe, a website set up by the Hull Daily Mail in the noughties to promote the city's nightlife scene. And while the quality isn't that great, the footage is sure to strike a nostalgic note with fans of Pozition.
Pozition later became Club Valbon and survived a fire in 2016, before closing for good the following year. The building was demolished in 2020.
