It’s all about alpacas down on the farm in East Yorkshire this coming weekend
Ings Park Alpacas, at North Cave, is putting on its fourth annual Alpaca Fest, a family fun day all about celebrating National Alpaca Farm Day. There will be stalls, food and drink vendors, activities and, most notably, the alpacas that enjoy a starring role at Ings Park.
The event is being held at Swallows Retreat, South Ings Lane, off Newport Road, North Cave and is open to the public from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, August 31. There are no advance bookings; admission (cash only) is paid at the entrance on the day and costs £3 for an adult and £2 for a child with under-threes free.

Visitors to Alpaca Fest are requested to park at North Cave car boot, just a short walk along Newport Road from the farm. Stall holders/vendors and those with disabled parking passes can park directly at the farm; no dogs apart from assistance/guide dogs are allowed on the site.
The Alpaca Fest has been run since 2021 when the first UK National Alpaca Farm Day was celebrated. It acts as a day of awareness about alpacas and other farm animals – Ings Park has goats, sheep and pigs – as well as providing fun activities for all ages.
On the day, visitors can expect alpaca and sheep walks, goat yoga, a funfair, pottery painting, face painting and glitter tattoos. There will be farm animals to pet and live music.
