Coldplay are once again breaking boundaries in the music industry. Earlier this month it was confirmed they'll be going on a stadium tour in August 2025 - but with a twist.
The London-based band will not only be playing six shows at London's Wembley Stadium but also two gigs at Hull's Craven Park Stadium. This will be the first time the band have ever played in the city, and that's not all, either.
All of the band's eight stadium shows will be 100 per cent powered by renewable energy. This includes the use of solar, wind and kinetic energy.

On top of that, ten per cent of all of Coldplay's proceeds will be donated to the Music Venue Trust. This is a charity focusing on maintaining grassroots venues around the country.
How to buy Coldplay presale tickets
At the time of reporting, the deadline for getting the earliest access has already gone. The band announced in their UK tour statement that those who pre-ordered the album from the Coldplay UK or EU Stores would automatically qualify for the presale.
Coldplay fans had until 11.59pm on Tuesday, September 24, to complete the purchase. Those who bought the album before the announcement were informed they had automatically been included in the presale.

Fans who secured a spot in the presale should have received an email with details about how things are expected to work on the day. It stated: "You will be emailed with a link to the ticket provider and an early access code from 5pm BST on Wednesday, September 25.
"The presale will take place on Thursday, September 26 at 9am BST. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis to those with access codes, and we expect demand to be high.
"Please note that having an access code does not guarantee a ticket. You MUST have a Ticketmaster account using [the email address used to sign up for presale] and be signed in to access the presale.
"If you don't have a Ticket master account using this email address, please create one now ahead of the presale. Make sure your details, especially your mobile number, are up to date, as a verification code will be sent to your phone when entering the presale queue."
The email further clarifies that early access fans will be allowed to purchase a maximum of six Wembley tickets each, while Hull fans will be restricted to four tickets each. Information regarding accessible tickets can be found on Ticketmaster's website by selecting the desired venue/date.
Do I get priority for tickets living nearby?
You certainly can. Referred to as a 'Postcode Presale', it was confirmed that half of the tickets for the Hull shows will be allocated to local fans who can prove they have a HU, YO, DN or LN postcode.
There will be no postcode presale for the events at London's Wembley Stadium. To secure your tickets, you'll need to input the postcode of your home address when purchasing.
Don’t miss
The postcode you enter must match up with the billing address postcode on your Ticketmaster account. If there's an error, your tickets could be cancelled.
These tickets will go on sale through the Ticketmaster website at 6pm on Thursday, September 26.
When do Coldplay general sale tickets come out?
Coldplay tickets on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 9am. These tickets will be general on sale, meaning anyone can purchase them.
Furthermore, it means fans do not need any kind of presale code or link to get involved. However, it does have its downsides.
The availability of general on sale tickets means they are likely to sell out extremely quickly. As a result, fans are encouraged to buy their tickets as soon as possible.
