A two-phase reconstruction of Anlaby Park Road South is set to start next week, Hull City Council has confirmed.
The reconstruction of Anlaby Park Road South will take a total of eight weeks to complete, lasting until mid-November.
The all important dates are as follows:
Phase one: Monday 23 September to Friday 25 October - Tilbury Road to 113 Anlaby Park Road South.
Phase two: Saturday 26 October to Friday 15 November - 113 to 174 Anlaby Park Road South.
The city council has confirmed that despite the closure of the road, the pedestrian footpath will remain open and the residents of Anlaby Park Road South will have their bins emptied as usual.
Signed diversion routes will be in place via Tilbury Road, Bethune Avenue, and Gower Road depending on the direction of travel.
For those travelling from the north to Christopher Pickering Primary School, the diversion will extend to Hessle Road and Graham Avenue leading onto Burnham Road.

Cllr Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways has said this is a part of the council's plan to "futureproof" Hull's roads.
Cllr Ieronimo also said: “The council has identified that sections of Anlaby Park Road South are in need of repair.
“We urge motorists to take note of the diversion routes, plan their journeys in advance, and use an alternative mode of transport if possible.
“I would also like to apologise in advance for any disruptions these works may cause, particularly to residents of Anlaby Park Road South, however, we are confident that any disruptions will be worthwhile once the programme is complete.”
The work has been funded by Hull City Council’s Highway Capital Programme and will be carried out by Wright Civil Engineering Limited on behalf of the council.
